Sikkim – Land of Serenity

Sikkim is a breathtaking Himalayan state in Northeast India, known for its dramatic elevation, rich culture, and unspoiled natural beauty. Rising from around 300 meters in the southern foothills to over 8,500 meters at Mount Kangchenjunga, the world’s third-highest peak, Sikkim offers one of the most diverse landscapes in the country.

North Sikkim is raw and majestic, home to high-altitude deserts, alpine valleys, sacred lakes like Gurudongmar, and snow-covered passes. East Sikkim, where the capital Gangtok lies, blends modern life with monasteries, viewpoints, and vibrant local culture. West Sikkim is steeped in history and spirituality, featuring ancient monasteries, serene villages, and stunning views of the Himalayan range. South Sikkim is gentle and green, known for terraced farms, peaceful towns, and warm hospitality.

With its blend of mountains, forests, rivers, monasteries, and traditions rooted in Buddhism and indigenous cultures, Sikkim is truly a Land of Serenity – a destination where nature, culture, and altitude come together in perfect harmony.
